‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program is Modiji’s campaign to unite India: Shah
Chennai, August, 2023: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, on a fine Friday, launched the grand ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ within the heart of our nation’s capital, Delhi. In his address, Shah elucidated that the ‘Meri MatiMera Desh’ initiative stands as Prime Minister Modi’s endeavour to unite the populace in the pursuit of a re India.
The ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program’s tagline, ‘Mitti konaman, veero ka vandan,’ encapsulates a profound sentiment. It signifies a singular reverence – an ode to the valiant souls who selflessly sacrificed to free Mother India. Shah extended his felicitations to the citizens, remarking that today, every compatriot swells with pride.
Following the successful ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, held under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the ‘MeriMati Mera Desh’ campaign emerges to honour the gallant martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. This endeavour aims to rekindle the memory of those unsung heroes who fought for our freedom.
This campaign champions ‘Public Participation’ through a medley of events, spanning villages, panchayats, blocks, urban locales, states, and the nation at large. As part of this movement, the ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will traverse the length and breadth of our land. These yatras will carry soil and saplings from every corner of the nation, which will then be used to form the ‘Amrit Vatika’ adjacent to the National War Memorial, symbolizing the unity and excellence of ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat.’
