Corporation Commissioner Shri Gagandeep Singh flagged off food distribution drive by Chennai food Bank in Chennai
Rajasthan Youth Association Metro’s “Chennai Food Bank” in association with Jain Annapurna Trust initiated a food distribution drive to provide lunch and dinner to homeless needy people in Chennai city that people are finding difficult to procure during the pandemic. This initiative inaugurated by Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Shri Gagandeep Singh IAS along with Mr Shankar Kumar Deputy Commissioner at Ripon building on 25th May 2021. This food drive aims to feed 1000 destitute at various places between T. Nagar and Central daily.
Speaking of this initiative Corporation commissioner said “It’s very happy to flag off such a good initiative by the NGO’s and I wholeheartedly appreciate the Rajasthani community for stepping forward to help the needy and homeless people”
“Covid19 has shaken the life of everyone around this world, RYA Metro as our part has been decided to distribute foods to 1000 lunch and 1000 dinner daily from Central to T.Nagar to homeless needy people in Chennai permitted by Corporation Commissioner.
